11 days to go

11 days to go!

11 Days to go and things are all starting to fall into place. Venue is sorted, decorations are being made, Auction Items are all rolling in, and Tickets are all sold! We couldn’t have guessed that things would fly along so well and that there were so many generous people out there. We’re very excited for the auction night and by the sounds of the people I’ve spoken to we are not the only ones.

I wanted to write a big post to cover a few bits off. I haven’t posted for quite some time now as things have been so madly busy getting organised for the auction night, they still are but thought everyone would like to know whats going on, and more importantly what is up for auction on the night. I will post tonight all the Live Auction items (12) we are doing on the night and then in the next few days I will put up a list of our silent auction items (Which we are still adding to daily).

I also wanted to say a big thank you to a lot of people out there who have been doing stuff quietly in the background. Ash Bowman and her mum Lesley have been baking for the Staff at Premier Beehive and have been averaging a couple of hundred dollars a week for the baking which is amazing! Deb Whiteman completed the Tora challenge and was very sore afterwards but raised nearly $600 in donations for that. Cafe Strada in Masterton had their first Coffee Charity day for us Yesterday and raised $89 and are hoping to add us in again for Queens Birthday Monday which is apparently a very busy day so that’s very cool! Megan and Daniel Evans made $130 out of their cupcake raffle, Thank you very much guys! Alex from Jamberry Nails made nearly $600 out of her Facebook Nail Parties for us, there are some ladies out there which very fancy nails going on now. Thank you Alex and everyone involved. Palliser Ridge have donated a load of wood and are running a wood raffle in conjunction with and located at Pinehaven Orchard, Carterton Kindy are running their own wood raffle as well which will be at New World on the 3rd and 4th of June, otherwise if you are interested let us know and we’ll sort you out.

All of these people who are doing these amazing things to help, off their own backs, really warms our hearts and makes us feel so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people in such an amazing community. We really can not thank you all enough.

Health wise things are tracking OK, I have my next MRI coming up the week after the auction night, be interesting to see where that sits and if there is any activity going on.

Also, Important News. We cracked over 300 Likes on Facebook over the last couple of weeks which is amazing, Thanks everyone!
