New Year, New Challenge
It is the end of the year, and what a year! Holy Smokes I can’t believe how much you have all helped us achieve this year. It is truly amazing, we close the year JUST under the half way mark with:
It is hard to get my head around such an incredible figure having been raised in only 11 months so Thank you all. I don;t have a lot to add to this post this year, I am still on holiday from fundraising mode with some big things coming up in the new year to push to the goal. I want to add a couple of thanks on here before the year closes.
First of all, thank to the girls from the SCBU and CHU wards at HB hospital, they put together a christmas cake stall which proved very popular and managed to raise $1216.00 all in one morning doing the stall. That is so cool girls and we really appreciate it, thank you very much! I hear that the three raffles went to very deserving winners too so I hope they will enjoy that and everyone had a great christmas.
We also ran the Grocery Grab raffle down at Fresh Choice Greytown and they made close to $500 doing that, so a massive thanks to Chris and his Team down there. I also want to say a huge thank you to the winner who has generously donated the grab back to us and we’ll be going down and doing it with them on the 5th. Being able to have a bit of fun and hopefully get a fair few bits to take the pressure off us in the next little while as we work hard on the last $100k being raised will be a great relief and we are incredibly grateful.
That’s all for now, I hope you all have an amazing New Years, be safe and look after each other. I have been trying over my break to ensure I do at least one random act of kindness a day, if we all manage that the world will be a better place. It doesn’t take much, today I simply helped a person at the supermarket get something down they couldn;t reach, but their day is now easier, they didn;t have to ask, I feel good, they feel good. Instantly the world is a better happier place. Bring on an amazing 2017 where I finally KICK MS.
Lots of love to you all, Nick and Family!
